Privacy Policy
Galleri collects only the information needed to run the app, support artist profiles and artwork listings, enable messaging and moderation, power optional AI/discovery features, and improve reliability.
What we collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, username, password, profile photo, artwork uploads, artwork descriptions, comments, reviews, ratings, chat messages, favorites, follows, and reports you submit.
If you choose to complete your profile location, Galleri can collect street-address fields, postal code, city, state or province, and country. Street address and postal code stay in a private profile record. City, state or province, country, and a privacy-protected jittered latitude/longitude are used to create the location label shown on your profile and artwork listings.
With your permission, Galleri can also use device location for nearby-search flows. We collect technical data needed to operate the service, such as device information, app usage signals, push-notification tokens, crash information, and diagnostics.
Photos, camera, and media
Galleri uses your camera and photo library only to help you upload artwork, profile pictures, and related media. Uploaded photos are stored in Google Cloud Storage and can be shown to other users based on your posting activity.
AI-powered features
Galleri uses Google Gemini services to help generate artwork tags, descriptive content, and semantic-search embeddings. Artwork images and related metadata may be sent to Google for that processing.
How we use information
- To create and secure your account.
- To display the artwork and profile information you choose to share.
- To manage profile location, artwork location context, and optional nearby search.
- To enable chat, comments, follows, favorites, and moderation workflows.
- To deliver push notifications for messages, follows, comments, mentions, and moderation actions.
- To monitor crashes, diagnostics, and feature usage so we can improve the app.
- To detect abuse, enforce policies, and keep the service operating safely.
Who we share information with
Galleri uses service providers that process information on our behalf, including Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, database hosting, file storage, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, and serverless functions. If you sign in with Google, we receive the basic profile information needed to create or link your Galleri account.
Galleri also uses Google Gemini services to help generate tags, descriptive content, and semantic-search embeddings from artwork images and metadata.
Content you post publicly inside Galleri may be visible to other users, including your profile information, artwork listings, public comments, reviews, and location label. Your full street address is not displayed publicly.
Retention and deletion
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to operate Galleri, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. When you delete artwork, Galleri removes the associated listing and related stored images from our systems.
You can request account deletion inside the app or by emailing privacy@galleri.art. We also honor reasonable requests to access, correct, delete, or export your data.
